Privacy Policy

At Bump Journey, your privacy is our top priority. We believe that your pregnancy journey is deeply personal, and your data should remain in your complete control.
On-Device Storage
All your personal data, including bump photos, pregnancy details, estimated due date, and baby nicknames, is stored locally on your device. We do not upload, store, or have access to any of your personal journal entries or photos on external servers. If you use iCloud Backup, your data will be securely backed up by Apple according to your iCloud settings.
No Account Required
You can use Bump Journey without creating an account. We do not require an email address, phone number, or social media login to use the app's core features.
Analytics and Usage Data
To help us improve the app and understand how it is being used, we use PostHog for product analytics. We track application lifecycle events and a broad range of feature interactions, including onboarding completion, tab navigation, photo capture, sticker editing, story card sharing, timelapse exports, notification settings, paywall views, and purchases.
Events are linked to a randomly generated device identifier (a UUID we create and store on your device). This identifier contains no personal information — not your name, email address, or any contact details — and we have no way to connect it to you as an individual.
Analytics data does not include the content of your photos, your journal entries, or the text of your baby's nickname. When a purchase is completed, we also record the StoreKit transaction ID solely to confirm that premium access was correctly granted.
In-App Purchases
For our premium purchases, we use Apple's StoreKit 2. We track purchase events — including a StoreKit transaction ID — to reliably grant and verify your access to premium features. All payment processing is handled securely by Apple. We do not process, collect, or have access to your credit card information or Apple ID details.
Third-Party Services
We utilize the following third-party services to operate the app:
- Apple (StoreKit for secure purchases, iCloud for optional device backups)
- PostHog (for product analytics linked to a random device UUID)
Your Rights and Data Control
Because your personal data is stored locally on your device, you maintain full control over it at all times. You can delete your photos within the app, or uninstall the app entirely, which will permanently remove all associated app data from your device unless you have backed it up.
Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date.
